One of the best things about indie bookstores is the indie authors. Here is where I showcase the indie authors from the Hannibal area and the broader state of Missouri, and possibly farther, that have books (or will have) carried on this site.

Ryan was born in Portland, Oregon on February 24th, 1988. He's the (upper) middle child out of four (three sisters – how he survived them is a secret). Currently he has family scattered all over the western states.
Ryan was always a big reader growing up. Ever since his second grade teacher, Mrs. Yorth spent extra time after school helping him learn how to read, he's been devouring books (so to speak). Growing up in Oregon meant plenty of time for reading, since there’s about 7.3 fully sunny days per year there.
To this day, he loves the smell of rain, the rumble of storms, and the scent of pine forests. His favorite stories growing up were old tales with Robin Hood and King Arthur - along with a ginormous rambling list of other myths, legends, and fantasy works.
Ryan graduated from high school in 2006 and first attended Central Christian College of the Bible in Missouri, where he met his wife and began writing what would later become Rienspel. Then, by happy coincidence, since they were both already planning on it anyways, they transferred to Hannibal LaGrange College (now University). In 2010, Ryan graduated with a B.S. in Communication Arts.
Stephanie Lynn Worcester (aka ‘Steph’ aka ‘Stephalughagi’) and Ryan were married just after graduation. Still writing, he started working in talk radio out of Albuquerque. Later, Ryan and his wife moved back to Hannibal, MO in 2011 where he eventually worked in marketing for an area non-profit, was offered a job as a pastor, and joined the St Louis Writers Guild.
He began publishing his fantasy works in 2016. Ryan lives with his wife in a little house about 300 yards from the Mississippi river along with two cats, Lira and Baldur, two dogs, Maci and Lazarus, and a gold fish named Shir Khan.

All about Miss Elizabeth Mars
Miss Elizabeth Mars, other wise known as Betsy. She is the daughter of Wayne & Mindy Mars. She has three brothers and three sisters, Jason, John & Victor; Cardenas, Joellen & Randi Jo. And three wonderful sister in laws I wouldn't trade for the world! Christie, Amanda and Jessica. And nephews and nieces I love very much! Jarrett, Kyndall, Haylee and Liam.. I have a beautiful & talented daughter named Emily J. who is just getting out of high school and adventuring out on her own! I'm so proud of her! She has been the center of my world for so long...And will always will be.
I was born in Shelby Illinois hospital. Oct 11 ,1979. I was one of the last children born in the nursery before they closed it down, I have traveled to some parts of the world! I have seen a lot, but would love to travel overseas to Germany and Italy, that part of the world is so beautiful each country has its own characteristics.
Writing has been a big part of my life, I have had over 32 surgeries at least last time I counted. I had tubes in and out at least 12 times on each ear. I had open heart surgery, as well as scoliosis, and almost six or seven extra teeth. Had braces and so much more. I was in and out of the hospital every six to seven months. Writing was an escape. I could do anything I wanted, go anywhere I wanted. Be anything I wanted to. So in a way I just needed a note book and pen and could travel any where. Truth be told most teenagers were out dancing the night away at a party, not I; I was glued to my paper and pen and apple computer at the time. Needless to say it was nothing fancy, it was an old box top computer they had from the 1980s.
I tried other things. Cooking, sewing & crochet. That was a big part of my life for a while. But eventually I never was fully satisfied with life. I had tried to write this story several times. And failed each time. It just wast the right timing. So I decided that by the time I had hit 40, I was going to live my dream and actually sit down and publish a book. This is one of my best pieces. And I want to thank lunchroom for making my dreams come true! The rest is up to you guys! We wouldn't have gotten this far with out you all!!
With humble gratitude,
Miss Elizabeth Mars
